To have a good wine, it is necessary to pay close attention to each of the grape bunches and enhance their peculiar characteristics.
All the wine making process conforms to the philosophy of “Bringing innovation, whilst respecting the tradition”.
White wines ferment under monitored temperature, red wines macerate and ferment spontaneously in rotating macerator,
under monitored temperature, without using any adjuvants. For the aging phase big barrels or barriques can be used,
according to the wine type, to defend the quirk of the wine. The wines stay in the cellar until the bottling day.
After aging in the bottles for some time, which is different according to the wine type, the bottles are ready to
be sent everywhere in the world. All our wines have the right taste balance and well aptitude to be enjoyed anytime.
In our collection, besides Barolo, our most important wine, you can find other local wines of our territory, such as
the reds Nebbiolo d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba and the white wines Roero Arneis, Langhe Favorita and Langhe Chardonnay.
We produce exclusive and precious batches of 8,000 to 10,000 bottles for each wine type. Our two different labels, “Linea 1878” and “Linea Collina San Ponzio”,
represent all the philosophy and the passion of the Balocco Family.
